I'm Will Batts the Treasurer of MGLCC. I tell people when they ask why I work so much for the center..."because it's my turn." Men and women who came before us sacrificed and struggled to make a better life for the GLBT community here. It's my turn now and for the rest of the Board as well. Someday we'll pass along the struggle and challenges to a new group who will hopefully find that the Mid-South is a better place to be gay than it was when we started. That's why I do what I do.
__In my outside life, I'm a partner in two medically related businesses: one is a purchasing consulting firm and the other sells medical-grade monitors and TVs to hospitals around the country. Definitely keeps me busy!
__My partner Curtis and I have been married for 9 years this past July. We live in the wilds of Cordova with our two retrievers, George and Suzie. Both of us play and watch sports as often as possible. Is it football season yet?? In those spare minutes each day, I'm likely to be found watching a classic movie or cooking some new recipe or reading an action/adventure novel or writing to a Congressman complaining about their stance on some issue.
