My name is Elizabeth Goodman Yow. My friends call me "Beth". I was born and reared in Memphis. I lived in Bartlett for over twenty years before moving back to mid-town.I live and work in Cooper-young.
I enjoy reading, surfing the net, supporting local bands at Huey's, Zinnie's, Murphy's, etc. And I love hanging out at the center, of course! I also enjoy theatre. I will be in my first play in thirty-five years next month at Theatre Works!
__I want to serve on the board because I want to be a part of the difference the MGLCC is making in our community, in our world. I believe one person can make a difference. Together we can make changes. MGLCC is home to me. I want to help ensure it will be there for the next generation.
__Being older, I look at everything from a different perspective. I can lead and I can follow. Because of my life experiences, what I can offer is unique as is true for each board member.
__I am a fifty-three, very single, female with three awesome adult children: Zachary, 32, Rohbi, 26, and Eric, 25. I also have Zoe, a cockatoo, and two cats I call my twins, Thomas and Tuck.
There is nowhere else I'd rather be than where I am at this moment! |
